Energy and off-shore

We advise generally in relation to energy and off-shore issues, including everything from contract negotiations to regulatory matters and dispute handling. Our experience relates both to general industry operations and issues relating to, for example, investments in the industry, procurement, etc.

We offer in-depth experience with advice on drilling and production contracts (most Oil Majors and independents contracts, LOGIC CRINE, IADC, etc.), accommodation/hotel contracts, engineering study contracts and associated contacts (feasibility, FEED, detailed design, etc.), construction and renovation projects relating to platforms, drilling rigs and other infrastructure, shipyard stays, service contracts for vessels, charter parties for supply vessels, heavy-lift vessels, safety vessels (e.g. BIMCO), consortium agreements, joint ventures, asset sharing arrangements, specific industry risk and liability distribution issues (knock-for-knock, etc.), insurance issues, safety, health and environment (HSSE), and international issues relating to the industry (including experience with Norwegian, British and American jurisprudence for the area). We also offer experience in advising on, for example, investment in solar panel installations, emissions monitoring and the like.

We also handle legal proceedings and arbitration cases relating to the field.

Our experience has been gained both as external attorneys for companies in the field and as in-house legal staff for leading industry parties. In addition to our legal expertise, we therefore also have in-depth knowledge of the industry’s commercial “drivers” and a solid understanding of the technical elements of the industry.
